Gold American Eagle Coins
The gold American Eagle coin is one of the most famous coins of the US Mint. It is the country's official gold coin and is struck every year in 91.67% pure gold (22 carats). The Golden Eagle is a very well-known gold investment coin and because the coin consists for a small part of copper, this coin has a red colored appearance, where the coins minted in 24 carat gold look clearly different. However, the Golden Eagle weighs slightly more and contains exactly the same amount of gold on balance, namely 1 troy ounce of pure gold. Processing a small amount of copper in the coins makes the coin stronger. Pure gold is very vulnerable.

Design gold Eagle coins
On the obverse is an eagle, the state symbol of America, shown. This also shows the face value of the coin. Since 2021, the motif has been redesigned and shows the head of an eagle.
